We’ve been spending a lot of time scouring the web in pursuit of the best Reform synagogue websites. And, with nearly 900 congregations affiliated with the Union of Reform Judaism, we certainly didn’t have a shortage of options. But, despite the abundance of Reform temples, putting this list together wasn’t an easy task. It’s surprising how many synagogues continue to use outdated templates that aren’t optimized for mobile. Presenting a strong online presence is no longer a luxury, it’s a must. First impressions matter and prospective members are more likely to engage with a congregation (visiting, calling, contacting, etc.) when presented with a modern and attractive website.
While a great looking website doesn’t require a congregation to remortgage the building or pay hundreds of dollars a month, it does require an individual (whether paid or volunteer) to actively maintain it. Based on our observations, this is where many congregations of all denominations stumble.
One of the many reasons why we, at Addicott Web, use WordPress is because it’s so easy to learn – especially when a volunteer is responsible for keeping the website up-to-date. By the time 2019 rolls around, our hope is that we are overwhelmed by SO many incredible synagogue websites that our list grows from 22 to 42.
As you explore our list of 22 of the best Reform Synagogue websites, you’ll discover vibrant content, engaging images, and new ways to showcase upcoming programming and events.
Synagogues are organized alphabetically by name.
We specialize in designing professional and modern websites that are as vibrant as your congregation. Together, let’s make your community thrive online.
